2021 CanAm Classic Flyball Tourney Goes Well

The 2021 CanAm Classic flyball tournament, hosted by the North American Flyball Association, the main governing body of the sport in the United States and Canada, wrapped up October 8-10 in Indianapolis, Indiana, kickstarting the 2022 season.

Preliminary rounds were livestreamed on, while the tournament as a whole was recapped with a two-hour special that aired on ESPN2 on Sunday, October 17 in the States and TSN2 on Monday, October 18 at 2 p.m. ET in Canada.

According to a Facebook post from NAFA Executive Director Neil Flood (a member of the club Animal Inn), the club Fur Fun took home the title in the Multibreed class, overcoming injuries and other assorted bad luck before topping a team from the powerful Skidmarkz club in the finals.

Skidmarkz put two teams into the Regular finals with both running sub-15 second times, and earning much kudos for their sportsmanship throughout the event as well.

The event couldn't have been possible without a small army of dedicated volunteers from various clubs and the NADA leadership group, but the dog sports community kept a smile on their faces behind the masks and pitched in however they were needed.
