Howls From The Founder
In our latest podcast episode, #9, Drew and I take the deep dive into brain development with neuroscientist Kathy Murphy. She explains how dogs’ brains develop throughout their lives starting in puppyhood. It’s a really big deal because if you understand some of the basics and get things right in puppyhood, you'll set the dog up for success! That means a happier dog, and a lot more joy from your companionship.

Dog - Savvy Kids

Lady Bear is a beautiful girl who is six years old, and as you might be able to tell, is slightly overweight. When the shelter took her in, Lady Bear was 69 pounds. Being in the care of Foot Hills, she has been going on walks every day and been given the proper food for her nutritional diet needs. This determined sweetheart already lost three pounds! Hooray Lady! Bear is a sweet snuggly girl who loves being outside, so she would love to have a big backyard and windows to look out into the world. Lady Bear would be happiest as an only dog and will thrive in a home with older kids. She already knows her sit and stay commands and does wonderfully walking on the leash. She is also a big fan of car rides and will jump right in it to enjoy the views out the car window and the wind in her face.
